Tell me what you week looks like

I have a very busy week this week.
Today DD had a hospital appointment so we spent the morning in Costa with a hot chocolate before heading up to the hospital where we were sat for hours! Then we went to a bakery for a pie for lunch before taking her to school at 2pm! She wanted to go and she had after school knitting club today.
So I picked up DS2 at 3, took him to the park, then picked up DD at 4 before finally coming home and making dinner (scampi, chips and mushy peas)

Tomorrow I've got to drop off DDs urine sample at the GP, my mums coming to help clean my house (I'm disabled) and then I have to take one of the cats to the vet, so mum's picking up DD and DS2 from school while me and DS1 head to the vet with the cat (he carries the cat carrier)

Then Wednesday DS1 has an appointment at the hospital after school, his regular heart check. Every time they find something else wrong with his heart so its a bit of a worry (so far he has aortic regurgitation, mitral regurgitation and one of the arteries connected to the heart is twisted the wrong way around the heart itself if that makes sense. The cardiologist has never seen it before but it doesn't seem to cause any issues) so poor old mum has to get DD and DS2 from school again!

I'm going to be shattered come Thursday!

Work full time so juggle the school run between calls. All video now so can't take them in the Asda car park.

Work all day, work through lunch to make up for the school runs.

School run then make tea, finish work, some days run to clubs.

Do housework.

Fuck about on the internet for bit.

Repeat till the weekend when we have chill days in Jamas.

Get dog walks in there daily somehow.

Just get it done really.

nancybotwinbloom · 04/10/2021 21:31

It's just never ending isn't it op? There is always something to get done lol.

HerRoyalRisesAgain · 04/10/2021 21:33

It feels that way. I've still not washed the pots from dinner. I tried to get a shower but DS2 fell put if bed and hit his head so I had to cut it short and deal with that! (He'd been pratting about instead if sleeping HmmGrin he's fine) and now im sat wondering if I should just ignore the housework and have a cuppa instead as I've been so busy.

Today my daughters community nurse came out for the last time to flush her line (keep it clean)
As we have had the best news ever that she can finish her chemotherapy treatment 😁 and another nurse came out to about half 3, to take a covid swab as she has a small tiny operation this week to get her line taken out! Did all the kids washing. Am slacking on ours quite bad Blush
Tomorrow we have a physiotherapy session at home at 9:30am, then I may go for a walk with both children.
Wednesday we have to be at the hospital for 7:30am for the line to be removed, only takes half an hour apparently! Then we will take it easy for the rest of the day
Thursday not much planned at the moment but I will come up with something!
Friday my mum will come down to see me and the kids, that'll be most of the day gone, may get a take away 🧐
Saturday I hope to take them out somewhere even if it is to a big park etc, and a walk.
Sunday not much planned apart from cleaning the house top to bottom!
And Monday my daughter can finally return to nursery as before when she had treatment she constantly got sick and caught viruses off the other kids which meant straight to hospital. She was in hospital more than she was nursery so we had to make the choice to remove her. She will be so happy to go back 😁

nancybotwinbloom · 04/10/2021 21:35

When I get in bed about half ten I just exhale, think fucking hell where has today gone and start again in the morning.

I have one dd. God knows how people manage with more than one.

But you know what, I wouldn't change it. I can't relax. I am always on the go. It keeps me sane.

pinkgin1 · 04/10/2021 21:35

I hope your son is doing well and I wish the best for him! 💜

Thehogfatherstolemycurry · 04/10/2021 21:35

Yep work through the week, kid wrangling, cleaning, taxiing kid to clubs/classes in the evenings with bouts of Internet browsing in between. Weekend will be helping kids with homework, some relaxing, maybe go out somewhere with the family. 😊

HerRoyalRisesAgain · 04/10/2021 21:35

we have had the best news ever that she can finish her chemotherapy treatment

That is such good news! Hurrah!

@HerRoyalRisesAgain thank you 🙏 she's been on it since September last year so it's a great relief. I just hope she won't need any more future treatment as long as her mri scans all stay the same we should be absolutely fine 😊

nancybotwinbloom · 04/10/2021 21:37

@Thehogfatherstolemycurry is she excited to go back to nursery? Bet she can't wait!

nancybotwinbloom · 04/10/2021 21:38

@pinkgin1 apologies that post was for you

nancybotwinbloom · 04/10/2021 21:38

@HerRoyalRisesAgain apologies - fat fingers!

HerRoyalRisesAgain · 04/10/2021 21:39

@pinkgin1 my son is fine luckily. You wouldn't think that 18 months ago he had a heart attack! And despite having asthma and everything wring with his heart, he loves to play rugby and keep as active as possible.

HerRoyalRisesAgain · 04/10/2021 21:41

@nancybotwinbloom it's OK, we know who you mean! And I know what you mean by fat fingers, mine are terrible for clicking the wrong thing! The worst is ad's in games with a tiny x to get rid of it.

@nancybotwinbloom she is very excited to go back. Every time we go in the car she would say am I going to nursery now??
Apparently her friends have been asking about her wondering where she is which I think is lovely.
@HerRoyalRisesAgain I'm so sorry to hear that! That must of been so scary for him and you! He sounds like a very determined little boy! Nothing will get in his way!

pinkgin1 · 04/10/2021 21:45

@nancybotwinbloom don't worry about tagging the wrong people it doesn't matter! Lots of us do it! Grin

HerRoyalRisesAgain · 04/10/2021 21:47

It was very scary. He was only 11 years old at the time. You just don't think a child will have a heart attack. It came out of nowhere. He was sat hooked up to machines, laughing and joking in the middle of it! I think he was trying to be brave because he knew how scared I was. But it worked because he's currently sat on the sofa playing rocket league on the xbox quite happily.

pinkgin1 · 04/10/2021 21:52

No you wouldn't think that at all. That's crazy. Aha bless him! Yeah he may of been wanting to make you feel better whilst he himself was feeling the same! Ahh that's great 😁
I know how it feels when your child goes through something so unexpected, my daughters face swelled up out of the blue last year so I took her to A&E 6 hours and a ct scan later I was told she has a tumour and needs to go to another hospital! We were there for a month and she had brain surgery. Was crazy. To make it worse it was only one parent allowed!

@pinkgin1 the one parent rule is hard because you need support too. I'm so glad your DD is doing so well. It's terrifying what they put us through!
