How can I warm my hand up?

Had a wee nap earlier, and have woken up with one cold hand. It's bothering me. Just annoying.
Have put on more clothes, stuck it under the dog who is in my lap, various other things and it just won't warm up!
Blood flow is fine as when dh squeezes my finger it refills, but still feels cold. Initially it was paler than my other hand but not so noticeable now. Even gloves aren't helping.
How do I warm up my hand?

Do some vigorous moving, get your limbs moving and your blood pumping? 100 star jumps should do it Grin

Hot water bottle

knobblykneesandturnedouttoes · 04/10/2021 20:37

Is it normal colour?

Sorry just re read. I suffer from reynauds syndrome and it's like you describe. But very noticeable colour loss

There's noone in this world that wants to see me doing star jumps Grin Hot water bottle is a good shout. I will run vigorously to get one. A cup of coffee didn't help though, but willing to try anything! It's been about an hour and a half! Seems to be a normal colour, I am pale anyway..I mean, its slow to refill but no slower than my other hand?

Hot bath.

This is a cause for concern if you have diabetes or a nerve condition, or it happens frequently. However you probably slept on it and constricted the blood flow.

It's been over an hour, surely it should fix by now if that?

Do the washing up in hottish water with no rubber gloves on. I have Reynaud’s and although it’s painful, that usually sorts mine.

Datsandcogs · 04/10/2021 20:43

Shove it your arm pit, that’s what I do!

Make a hot drink and hold it with cold hand
CleopatrasBeautifulNose · 04/10/2021 21:43

Surely a generous whisky would work!

CleopatrasBeautifulNose · 04/10/2021 21:44

Or combine that with the cuppa idea and have a hot toddy

Datsandcogs · 07/10/2021 08:10

My main way to keep warm, especially in the evenings is dogs! 3 spaniels (one draped across the shoulders, one squeezed into the side and one on my lap) and then feet wedged under the Labrador. It would probably be cheaper to turn the heating up, definitely less smelly but not nearly so comforting!
