Losing the firestick losing my mind

Can anyone help?

I feel like there must be a solution.

I need to be able to phone/ bleep the fire stick.

I also need it not to choke my children so no small stick on circular things or button batteries.

I don't want to use my phone.

Surely there is a solution? Something like this, but that actually exists.. www.geeky-gadgets.com/locate-your-remote-easily-with-beep-24-07-2019/

What do all you people with children + not-lost remote controls do?!

I refuse to believe there are such people as “children not lost the remote” people Grin

I gave up and downloaded the fire stick remote on to my phone. I know that’s not the answer you want, I’m sorry. I tried establishing A Specific Place to put the remote in after each time it was used, this was conventionally forgotten every time. I tried to put the key tracker fob on the remote, this worked until the kids fiddled with it. I tried banning all use of the remote without supervision and faced an outright rebellion so backed down.

I now have to put up with the endless buffering of the app remote. I am considering getting rid of the tv completely now. Grin

I'm considering attaching a cord to it and tying the other end to the sofa leg or similar!

If you mean the Amazon fire stick you can download an app that does everything the remote does.

DxHxSx · 04/10/2021 19:52

Attach it to a cuddly toy/wooden spoon/spare shoe?

Whatelsecouldibecalled · 04/10/2021 19:54

Omg. I need the app. Now.

My boy (18 months) lives hiding the bloody remote. Drives me potty

Haha thanks everyone. Still don't want the app. Might tie it to a spoon as suggested, or perhaps round my waist Grin
