Job offer

Has anyone given up a job they've had for 12 years, to accept a short term post of 9 months? In a different firm?
I want to accept, but what are the chances of it going full time?
Has anyone been in this position??

Not after 12 years but did leave a permanent job for a 3 month contract that went permanent after 6 months and later took another 3 month contract that lasted 4 years! Was my choice to move on from both roles but taking a punt has been good for me. Good luck with whatever you decide!!
