Just had a text message saying can now book Xmas slots.Went on straight away and nothing,nada.Why even send a message?

When they sent me a message, it was book from the next day from 12am.

I didn’t even get an email, just read on here that people were booking slots and managed to get one for 22nd. Bit crap, normally I get several emails!

I got my notification on Friday that I could book slots on Saturday, I stayed up & booked at midnight, put a turkey & enough stuff to total £90 in the trolley to keep the slot open, I can add things up to Saturday 18 December for delivery on the Monday.

I’ve not had any notification at all 🥲- only realised something was afoot when I went in to add razors to next weeks shop and I had to queue to do so!

FFS no email or text, only just saw this and no slots now available (unsurprisingly). Weekly smart pass shopper and have been with Ocado for over 10 years. Angry

And yes just had a nightmare changing this week’s slot. They really are a shadow of what they used to be, but the alternatives round here don’t seem to be great either...

My email came Friday for Saturday booking. Logged on and no slots. But today I tried again and got a slot for 21st Dec. What is irritating is that I cannot even see the 23rd or 24th Dec - clearly I am not important enough for those days.

But watch their terms and conditions - changed wef 1st October. If you cancel within 14 days of the Christmas booking date you are charged the delivery fee. I think they must have been caught out in previous years. It is fair enough providing everyone knows.

I actually set a reminder on my phone today to check for an email re Christmas slots. No email at all. Just happened to go on Ocado and it said there Christmas slots were available. Only 2 slots and the 21st was the latest. Bit cross. Had a smart pass and done weekly shops for 10 years.

I probably shouldn't grumble because managed to get regular slots throughout lockdown but still annoying.

I've booked one as a back up in case I can't get a Waitrose slot.

I didn't get any kind of notification either but then I haven't had any emails from them apart from receipts etc since lockdown Confused It's like I got deleted from the system during the lockdown meltdown.

I saw on here that Christmas slots were open last week so managed to nab one. The latest slot I could get was 23 December.

They have been releasing in batches I think, I booked a few days ago, but know people who were earlier.

I can't fathom their allocation scheme though. Seems a bit all over the place.

They released slots for my area and didn't bother to message me!!

Anytime pass holder. Got the pre- email saying they would let me know when slots where available. Nothing. Happened to notice it on the app at the weekend!

It was bizarre.Literally pressed on the link as soon as I got the text as I was on my phone.I live chatted to an advisor and they just said they go really fast and we should have more soon.

I think they do release in batches, but that's really frustrating from a customer's POV, as you just don't know if any more will be coming.

I don't think Ocado is what it used to be; customer service has plummeted, and unlike Waitrose, now they will charge you the higher price for subs.

Ocado is pretty rubbish these days. It was a terrible idea to change to M &S food. The choice is much more limited.
Waitrose food was much better.
I keep thinking about cancelling my smart pass. I barely use it.

They’ve also stopped their partnership with Fetch, which is a pain as I buy 15kg bags of dog food.

Waitrose slots opened last week for priority customers. I managed to get my favourite 9-10 slot on 23rd December.

Ocado I’ve got the 21st which is annoying. My email went into junk.

Waiting to see if I get a Tesco as have a pass with them also as I’d prefer 23rd to 21st.

My SIL had noted that Waitrose slots opened in November, but went on the site on Saturday to find they had just been released so has pre-booked our turkey. Seems ridiculously early.

Got my email, forgot about it, went on at 10am (after release at midnight) and had the choice of the 23rd or the 24th. No problems at all here 🤷🏼‍♀️

Was that recently? I ordered from Fetch only a few weeks ago.

I found it so convenient for all the cat crunchy and litter we get through.
