C section scar

I’m 18 weeks pp and following an emergency section I hace a bright red and wonky scar. I’m very fair so it’s very noticeable and wanted to try a cream or lotion to speed up the fading. Looking for recommendations? Seen loads on the market but not seen any reviews for c section scars!

Thank you x

I didn’t put anything on mine and by the time a year had passed it was barely noticeable. It was quite red for the first few months.

Agree, I didn’t do anything and after a year it was much better. After two I could barely find it.

Agree with above posters.

I had an EMCS 3 years ago and by 12 months the scar was barely visible.

Had a section this March and the scars still looking red and angry but getting better every week 😊

I had an emcs in September 2020 and my scar is still very red and wonky! I think time is a better healer for these things. I'm expecting at least another year of it looking bad!

My first scar healed really well, 2nd time i got an infection and it looked awful. Once it had healed i used the elastoplast plaster on it and it made a massive difference. I actually made sure i left one bit out of the end of a plaster so i could actually see it/ compare where the plaster had been. I could see the difference.

11 years on and can't see mine. Well maybe if I got a tan, but my fanny never will see daylight.
I didn't ever put anything on it apart from sudocrem if it was itchy.

Another one who put nothing on it. I remember it being a thin red line, but by a year it had definitely faded to a thin pale, not obvious, line. 10 years on and I can't see it at all.
