Has your clinic not discussed this with you?
Do they not have to publish stats on % successes etc?

No they won't always result in twins. Sometimes 1 will take and the second won't. But obviously replacing 2 increases the chance of twins.

Hope it all goes well.

If you head over to the infertility board there are many women there who have been through/ are going through IVF and they are all very wise and helpful

Good luck dear! I think it's common at this point to transfer 2 embryos. Sending you hugs!

I’ve had two embryos transferred on both my FETs, only one implanted the first time, both implanted the second time. Sadly I miscarried both times anyway. I wouldn’t make the decision until you know how many fertilised embryos you end up with. Good luck!

The thing with IVF is that there are so many steps to the process, it's like a massive obstacle course. There are no guarantees that you will even get two embryos to transfer. Then if you do there are no guarantees that either will implant. Sorry I know that sounds really negative - but it's important to be realistic I think. Just focus on one step at a time. I have everything crossed for you!

i had ivf in 1998 and had 2 put back in

Doesn't always result in twins.
I know someone who has two transferred and only one was successful.
Hope your ET went well.

Two here, one baby.
It simply can’t always result in twins, because there will always be some fertilised eggs that don’t have what they need to develop - let alone implant.
Your clinic really should be explaining this to you!
Good luck with your transfer 🤞
