Buying a 2 year old car that’s not been driven for a year?

Would you?

It’s been sitting in storage. Was a company vehicle that hasn’t been used due to Covid.

Very good condition. Mileage is only 3000.

Could it be serviced before you buy it ?

Ask for it to be checked over by a mechanic and take it for a decent test drive , ideally getting it up to 60/70 - take someone with you ideally to listen out on the other side for issues.

The battery is likely to be shot but it's a minor issue

Mine sat for over 12 months and the brakes had seized. Suggest those are checked if it hasn't been moved at all.

It will almost certainly be under warranty for at least another year, and new cars usually have a free inspection programmed for twelve months of age.

I’d ask for an oil and filter change at the inspection, and also explain the storage to them so they can be thorough. You’ll have to pay for the oil and filter change.

Other than that give it some significant runs to begin with, not just the shops and back.
