Hi, 20 yr old DS travelling to mainland Spain on Friday. I’ve looked on government website regarding Covid tests but I must be stupid as I don’t understand what he needs to do on departure and return. He’s double vaccinated. Can anyone who’s recently travelled tell me ? Thanks 😊

We returned from Spain a few weeks ago. If double vaccinated he just needs to do a test (pre booked) 2 days before departure, and then within 48 hours of arrival.

We used collinson for whilst we were away, booked a time slot and took the LFT with us , took the picture then submitted it within the time, then used Randox for the PCR on arrival home, did the test and sent it off. Easy as pie

Also he'll need to do passenger locator forms, we saw lots of people in Manchester airport who hadn't done them being turned away from check in, and will need proof of vaccination on the NHS app

When did the need to test come in prior to travel to Spain if vaccinated? When we went in August only non vaccinated needed PCR if over 12
