Unknown setting on my oven

Does anyone know what this setting with the seven dots does please?

We bought it second hand 10 years ago and there were no instructions at the time. All the online manuals are for the current model and it's not the same!
I've never even noticed it before today.

It's a Rangemaster 110 dual fuel but not the current model.

How old?

This is from 2009 I think

There should be a plate somewhere with a model/serial number that will help you find the right manual. It's sometimes on the frame if you open the pan storage door. Or one of the oven doors.

We have that oven from 2010 and don't have that symbol on. Ours is electric only though, so that might give you a clue.

Self clean?

couchparsnip · 03/10/2021 09:42

It's got to be at least 15 years old because it was sold to us second hand almost 11 years ago when we bought our current house.

I looked at the link but that's a later model I think. It doesn't have the symbol anyway!
The oven is electric and the hob is gas.

Self clean is a possibility. I'll investigate that.

Can't find a model number anywhere. Perhaps it's worn away.
We've survived this long without
whatever feature that it's, it's not a big deal but it would be nice to know if anyone can help!

I have that on my rangemaster, but it's 5 dots not 7. It's for browning things - use it for crisping up roast spuds/melted cheese etc. Turns the oven into a kind of oven/grill combi. If you look inside the oven, at the top you should see the element. Love it :)

Ooo that sounds good. Thanks very much. Can't believe I've missed out on it for so long!
