Bumping for you OP.
You say you are overweight and dowdy - please don't be so harsh on yourself. Nobody deserves to be cheated on and you are worthy of love.
After break ups I found exercise (horse riding/zumba/yoga, I'm not a runner!!!), spending time with lovely pets (before I had my own cat, I used to look after a dear friend's lovely girl occasionally) and seeing friends / meeting people helped, but what sort of time do you have available and what do YOU enjoy doing?
