Is this possibly the shortest PARKING THREAD ever?....with diagrams

Earlier this morning was going upstairs and looked out of the little staircase window to see another car parked on my drive along side my car. The street was clear so not as if there was a parking problem.

Went out of the front door to see who it was/what was he doing there and he looked up, startled/bit shocked maybe, started up his car and took off in reverse, presumably back down the street from whence he came.

Never seen before or since!

Stunning artistry OP.

Tempted to nominate you for classics for your artwork alone
(certainly not for the thread content which proved to be resolved disappointingly quickly)

trappedsincesundaymorn · 02/10/2021 12:59

Excellent diagram although I am a little concerned that your car appears to be on it's side not upright. Grin

5BlackDoors · 02/10/2021 13:11

I am waiting for someone to come onto the thread to tell you YABU because you clearly have a large drive and only one car and it would be the nice thing to offer that space to the perpetrator for free as well as taking a cup of tea and washing his car for him while he is visiting whoever he wants to visit.

Penguin bollards now unloading!

Penguin bollards now unloading!
That actually had me laughing outloud. Well done OP. More doodles please they're amazing. 🤣🤣
Jensonfromtheblock · 02/10/2021 13:20

I’m worried as that dog walker witness looks exactly like me. Waiting for the knock at the door from the police now for leaving the scene of a crime.

Jensonfromtheblock · 02/10/2021 13:22

@MumofSpud

I think that is me walking my dog - my hair is just like that this morning- it is almost a photo!!
Oops didn’t see this. Perhaps we are twins. It even looks like my dog though.
Gindrinker43 · 02/10/2021 13:27

You have set the bar for parking diagrams

roundtable · 02/10/2021 13:27

Op, do you take requests?

We could suggest Mumsnet thread that you could immortalise in doodles.

Sistine chapel, t-rexing in Asda, Mexican holiday thief - that sort of thing!

roundtable · 02/10/2021 13:28

Brian's yoni massage might be a step too far though...

NotSorry · 02/10/2021 13:29

Your drawings have made me giggle - however I do have to agree with PP that your neighbour is clearing walking a cat

Lizardcentral · 02/10/2021 13:29

I think you have set a new precedent OP.
Concise with a swift satisfying outcome along with fabulous artistry.
What more could you want from a parking thread.
The bar is set.

EasyLifer · 02/10/2021 13:29

Wonderful detailed diagrams! Please seek out further parking shenanigans, on your own drive or elsewhere, so we can have more diagrams.

DramaAlpaca · 02/10/2021 13:31

Love the diagrams Grin

WithMyEncyclopedia · 02/10/2021 13:32

YABU to say "from whence".
"Whence" already means "from where", so to effectively say "from from where" is nonsensical.

Yes... and in between drawings one and two, the cat's tail has disappeared. Shock
RicherThanYew · 02/10/2021 13:38

@roundtable Youve made my day ty Grin

I'll have nightmares for weeks about Brian's yoni massage in clipart format though

WallaceinAnderland · 02/10/2021 13:38

Those 2 pictures told me whole story OP. I did not need to read a single word. I think you have made a breakthrough here in making parking threads more accessible and from now on they should only ever be told through the mode of drawing.

PopcornPeacock · 02/10/2021 13:39

I love this too Grin Poor sod probably got the wrong house and is now MN famous...

Really you should have waited til he got out and wandered off and given us a real CF parking thread, rookie error!

You forgot the rain, it's pouring it down out there. I bet the penguins are jumping in puddles in their wellies. 🤣🤣

Poor sod saw me at my early morning finest - wild hair, PJ's and not then had my first morning cuppa. Think I'd have reversed from me too! Grin
