Therapist is retiring

And I feel like shit... Please someone tell me that this is survivable because right now I feel like the World is about to suffocate me.

Oh no, that must be difficult. I’ve not had therapy but I can imagine you get used to the speaking to the same person and they know your background etc.
Does your therapist have a recommendation of someone else? Also, I know it can be tricky to see the positives in things sometimes but a new therapist could provide a different perspective which might be helpful?

I will have another therapist but they are not sure who yet - it's NHS long-term therapy.

Yes they know quite a bit about past and current problems; probably more current problems.

I'm not sure if I can cope with a different perspective at this stage.

I am obviously happy that she's retiring for her, but I feel so lost about it all.

I can totally understand why you’d feel lost it does sound quite unsettling. Have you spoken to her about it at all? I wonder if that would help reassure you.
