Is there any way of finding out on line which garages are selling petrol ?

No, how would it be kept up to date? Hmm

You could ask on local Facebook groups I guess but it's mostly normalising so just try your usual place

Smartiepants79 · 01/10/2021 20:39

Yup, local Facebook is the closest you’ll get.
By the time you’d looked it up online they could have sold out!
Get local friends to keep a look out for you.

There is a website for Surrey area, not all the fuel stations but a lot. And seems fairly up to date, states when it was updated.

It’s still chaotic here (south london/Surrey), a lot of people still can’t get any fuel

Cheesepuff1 · 01/10/2021 20:43

I've found Waze is reasonably up to date for my local area.

whatnumber · 01/10/2021 20:44

Local Facebook groups are all going mad over this! Personally I would avoid the ones they are saying have fuel because that's where everyone is going!

2020isnotbehaving · 01/10/2021 20:45

Cabbie on radio said to use a map app as shows where all the traffic is which is likely be an open garage!

1mx1mChocolateBrownie · 01/10/2021 20:46

Local Facebook sites.

Eslteacher06 · 01/10/2021 20:47

Any map app or a specific one?

2020isnotbehaving · 01/10/2021 20:50

Just what’s on your phone search petrol and then zoom in. My area shows velar traffic around petrol stations rare for this time
Of Night so can only mean one thing.

*clear

Do you have a link? Sounds like we're in a similar area and I'm getting bloody desperate. This is a total shitshow

2020isnotbehaving · 01/10/2021 21:03

Don’t know the area but this looks likely

Not sure where you are but Sainsbury’s north cheam, Asda Burgh heath and Sainsbury’s Colliers wood are often not too bad. I got mine on Sunday at north cheam no issues luckily as need to drive to Salisbury tomorrow l.

Hope you find something soon

idiotfacelicker · 01/10/2021 21:44

Thanks mummyme but unfortunately those are all too far. I have, at best, 5 miles left so I need to look properly close to home 😩😩😩

gogohm · 01/10/2021 21:58

80% of garages have both main fuels as of today do the chances are good

idiotfacelicker · 01/10/2021 22:22

Well none of that 80% are anywhere near me 🤷‍♀️

MargaretThursday · 01/10/2021 22:32

Your best bet is probably look at the local fb page for where apparently had petrol 2 hours ago and avoid those ones because everyone has headed for them.

idiotfacelicker · 01/10/2021 22:54

Our local Facebook pages have banned fuel posts now as they were clogging up the page and just led to chaos around the petrol stations rumoured to be getting a delivery.

RufustheBadgeringReindeer · 01/10/2021 23:00

The two local Facebook groups ( I’m not on Facebook) local to us are taking down their fuel info as by the time people get there its all gone

Floralnomad · 01/10/2021 23:04

It’s nothing like normal here .

lnsufficientFuns · 01/10/2021 23:07

Go to any station that does a £30 limit around here that just the Asda

TheUnbearable · 02/10/2021 01:29

I’m in the Midlands and was in Yorkshire last week. Haven’t had any problems at all. Is it generally worst in the SE?
