Energy prices…

Hello! So pre pandemic house of 4 our gas and electric was c. 95-100 per month. We are on a two year fix finishing in Dec. We currently pay £165 a month! I’ve looked for price comparison deals - conscious energy is at its most expensive and there are no cheaper deals (wasn’t expecting any) BUT the best deal available is over £500 more a year!

How is it looking for everyone else? My mum works in retail and said it’s got incredibly hard for a number of her friends who don’t have the luxury of monthly direct debits and who have pay meters.

If anyone has any info on who to lobby on these rises - it would be helpful. I know it’s in the media but I have no idea where to get an answer on this. I am assuming it’s wholesale gas and electric?

Have you seen all the other threads about this? There are many different reasons/views on why prices have gone up so much, you'll find a lot of information

In terms of lobbying I don't know what anyone can do about the prices unless you want the government to introduce subsidies

Ive also seen a lot of posts about saving energy so you might get some tips to keep the costs down

Thank you @AFuturisticalSound no I haven’t and not sure why I’ve missed them so apologies. I for one am wondering if to switch to electricity for cooking!
