Driving theory test bookings

Anyone know what’s going on with the website for bookings.
Been trying for days at various times of the day and night to book a theory test and when I get past the queuing bit the site keeps crashing. It’s just impossible to book a test.
A friend of mine just sat his and he said it was not even a quarter full in the centre at the time he was there. Not surprising if nobody can get through!
Any ideas on how to proceed?

There has been a problem with the website and there is a recorded message regarding this if you actually telephone. It’s so annoying to be in a queue for 90 mins just to have it time out but I managed to successfully get on and book a test this morning so just keep trying.
