What should I do for my birthday next week?

I don't really feel like celebrating (I have depression) but I think it would feel worse to do nothing. I know my partner has bought me presents and I'm sure there will be cake. Any suggestions for what I could do as a nice outing or activity? I have a four year old daughter so it could be a small family thing (the rest of our families live far away), or I could do something with a couple of friends.

Zoo, out for dinner with friends, a city break?

Family and friends autumn picnic
Zero pressure, zero stress

I'm beginning to think I should do something without my DD - she's really grumpy and moody at the moment 😒

I would go out with DP and DD to a local attraction. Zoo, NT property, the seaside, aquarium etc.
Cake at home with DD.
Then takeaway with DP after she has gone to bed.

Leaving her out of celebrations probably won’t improve her mood.

I'd still do something with her too anyway.

Cinema and lunch, museum and lunch (there's a theme), fish and chips at the coast, wildlife park, a spa day at home, a massage, a visit to a beautiful place you've never been to...

Happy birthday for next week 🎂

Where, approximately, are you based?

Could you ask one of your friends to look after little one while you and your partner have a date night?

Watch the new James Bond film (or Respect about Aretha Franklin)

Have a family cinema night
