Does anyone else think M&S are skimping on fabric on trousers

I’m probably now a size 14 to fit me on the hips.

I recently bought some cord legging sz 14 and they feel tight ish , I’m most definitely not a sz16 they would literally fall off me.

It weird as I have 2 ors from couple years ago sz12 and they still fit !!!

I got some plain knickers in pack sz14 thinking they’d be ok not tight, there horrible tight round legs.

Sainsburys luxury leggings are the same, sz14 to tight !
Morrison’s sz14. Great £8

I’m going on cut from Monday, trying for half a stone off. I weigh 9st 2lb 5ft 2”

The worst thing they do in the rag trade is to shorten the depth of the crotch curve on bigger sizes to get more cuts in the width of the fabric.

The total waist measurement is the same, the total hip measurement is the same, but the whole thing is unflattering and fits weird. For most people the front of their waist is bigger than the back. The front of their hips is smaller than their bum. Cutting the trousers’ crotch curve to reflect normal curves wastes more fabric, so they cheat. And you gets trousers that look ridiculous. Don’t buy them.
