Ring Doorbell, What one?!

Just that really.

Can someone help me please.

I'm looking for a ring doorbell. I've seen one on amazing that is £50 but gives an option for hardwired or plug in. My house doesn't have a doorbell wired in so I'd go for the plug in right?

Is it as simple as plugging it in and off you go?

Also, could someone easily steal the ring camera? It only looks like it sits in a bracket.

If I were going to go for the silver/black more expensive one. Again, would i just plug it in or does somebody have to come out to do it?

And what are the pros and cons to having ring doorbell from personal experiences please.

Sorry for all the questions Grin.

Hello
I'm not an expert but we have a ring door bell it's not wired in, you charge the doorbell and it's screwed into the bracket outside (special screws and screwdriver apparently)
And that's pretty much it, we charged it, attached the bracket to the wall and connected it to the Alexas and off we went.
Pretty straightforward

Forgot to say you can download the ring app on your phone and live view whenever you like, you can answer the doorbell via your app too - always useful
We didn't change any of the distance settings on ours and the coverage is great

I have a battery Ring doorbell that was installed via the existing peephole. You just unscrew the peephole and insert the barrel of the Ring doorbell and the mechanism and the battery sit inside the door. It chews through the battery though. I have an extra spare battery which i charge up when the battery charge on the one in use starts to drop and I just swap them out.

I have the Eufy. It’s rechargeable and it lasts ages. You don’t need a subscription and the footage is stored on a sd card.

Thank you. I will definitely look around. I just need a straight forward one as we rent so don't want to have to faff around with much
