James Bond premier

So I have just been watching the news and they have been showing the dazzling red carpet premier of James Bond.

All I could think was, how uncomfortable must all those women be. They are in beautiful gowns and now have to sit for three hours and watch a film.

To be honest the men in the suits can't be much better.

I always think it must be nice to not have to make small talk all evening, but you are right it is odd to get dressed-up to the nines then sit in the dark. Grin

But they did all look fab and have the photos to prove it!

home2012 · 29/09/2021 07:12

Oh they do, I just imagine those dresses digging in while sitting there.

I'd be freezing sat in a thin, sleeveless gown if the air-con is anything like our local Cineworld. I wonder if there are folded blankets under the seats Smile

Maybe once they get in to the cinema, there are special James Bond onesie and slipper sets for them all.

I love this idea- and think it should be adopted by all cinemas. That and heated seats

I don’t think the stars actually stay and watch it after the meet and greet

Frazzled2207 · 29/09/2021 07:25

I thought that it was quite normal for them just to turn up to the red carpet bit and possibly come back for the parties later but basically not stay for the film itself which will be mostly for the benefit of the press

home2012 · 29/09/2021 08:40

I hope they don't have to sit though it.

They nip out the back door and get changed into something more comfortable for the afterparty.

Trying to link to Lea Seydoux's leather mini but can't find a standalone photo ...

Lobelia123 · 29/09/2021 09:30

No ways, I love this kind of stuff. I think we've all gotten used to 'leisure wear' through lockdown and have forgotten the magic of getting dressed up and looking sensational to have an amazing evening out

home2012 · 29/09/2021 09:46

Oh I agree. Greeting dressed up and looking amazing is fun. Just can't imagine sitting in a cinema seat for three hours in those dresses
