Royal marines cadets - uniform question

Hi there

Anyone here with a teen who is a royal marine cadet who can answer a quick question regarding uniform please?

I'm not, but I am an Army Cadet instructor and the working uniform is similar. What is your question?

Thankyou. Silly one really - how do you get the boots to a mirror shine finish? Is there some magic wizardry involved here 🤣.

Assuming we are talking about parade boots that go with the blue parade uniform, I suggest one of the guides on youtube. This is similar to a method I use:

Now, if we are talking about the brown boots worn with the combat uniform, I don't recommend trying to get those to a mirror shine. It isn't really necessary and affect the performance of the boots. Just clean and polish with a normal on/off brush method. I just use Leder Gris from Altberg. It doesn't make a really shiney boot, just a soft shine but keeps the leather in good condition. They also do a high shine version called Leder Glos which may be better if you want a shiney combat boot.
