Where's my milk supply gone?!

Help! My let down is always very strong and quick. My dc is 10 months old so I still bf at least 4/6 times a day. My supply has always been consistent so I've never had this problem before. I've read online people can experience this when their af is due? Is this true, has anyone else experienced this? I'm 4 days late (but am always at least a week late due to poc)

Will it come back once I'm on? Trying not freak out but want to cry

What makes you think it's gone? Is the bairn complaining?

Brokeandtired3 · 28/09/2021 20:10

@gamerchick I can feel when my let down happens and its suddenly stopped baby gets very frustrated keeps sucking but nothing happens so the feeding session ends up endless until dc gives up out of boredom

A few times in the first year it happened to me. My baby was complaining at getting nothing, couldn’t pump anything either and I panicked. People suggested trying all sorts but it resolved itself in a couple of days. Less scary when they’re on solids but my period returned at 3months and my wee one relied on me 100% then

@Matilda1981 tmi but I have been intimate with my partner once. So the chance is there but very very slim.

I'm just hoping it's a one off and my period will come along and everything will resume as normal. Maybe good nights rest will help?

Does pregnancy affect supply though?

Stress? Not eating and drinking enough?
Try fenugreek herb, it's meant to help🌻

PillowTalking · 28/09/2021 20:17

I don't think pregnancy would effect it.

I recall similar and it coincided with my periods restarting so could be linked.
