I got ID'd when buying an energy drink today as apparently I look under 16. I'm 30 with 3 kids, I need the energy drink to survive.I look rough too today. I definitely don't look like a teenager! Although I'm not complaining.

What's made you smile today?

My 12 year old DS confiscating my phone and telling me I can have it back when I can show some control. (in my defence I was reading an email whilst waiting for him to stop titting around and get into bed last night).

I won a FB prize draw by one of my favourite artists, who makes gorgeous needle-felted art, and the parcel arrived today - a beautiful framed original watercolour, three cards and a gorgeous little woven bookmark. I'm slightly obsessed with hares so I was absolutely over the moon to win this!!

Free day pass to a lovely spa from an ex colleague who works there.

Kids are all in school and I've just had a cappuccino brought to me and even managed to finish my book 😁

I get the same thing a lot OP @HerRoyalRisesAgain and I hate it but I'm used to it. It doesn't make me smile because I'm an adult and want to be seen as such fgs! Perhaps because I enjoy being older but have always been made out as the 'child' or the young one among my peers because I look too young at every age. So I rebel against it

I loved the weather today as we were out and about. The cool wind in my face made me smile.

@NotSoNewAndShiny oh I get annoyed sometimes too but I'm looking particularly rough today so it made me smile. I'm glad you're enjoying the weather. I'm not!

Sorry OP, didn't mean to imply you should like or hate being mistaken for younger. I understand if it made you smile. That wasn't exactly aimed at you. It's just a hang up for me.

About the weather, what do you prefer?

At yoga, my teacher deciding I was ready to do the crab, which I hadn't done since childhood. I managed it and was so happy, I laughed like a kid. (I'm nearly sixty!)

I prefer the weather pleasantly warm, but not too hot or I just get sticky. The cold gets in my joints

Ah sorry about that. I hear you though as it happens to me but only when it's freezing cold.

I'm now in my late 40s and hot weather drains the energy and life out of me but I also don't mind pleasantly warm, as long as there's a bit of breeze and shade. I prefer mild weather all round.

Mild weather is definitely the best kind of weather
