Hooded towels for adults?

DS (22) has asked for a hooded towel for Christmas. I know it sounds like a strange thing to ask for but I am really happy he wants something I might enjoy buying and wrapping up, instead of the usual cash or vouchers he asks for.

Anyway, I have trawled through the internet quite extensively and they don't seem to exist in the UK (plenty of lovely ones in the US but postage far too much). Lots for children but none for adults. Any ideas anyone?

How tall is he? Hooded Owls now have a JumboPlus size which has more room for an adult head (something about the neck…don’t ask me!). From personal experience, I can confirm they are lovely towels - really thick, proper towelling (lots of adult ones seem to be made of microfibre). I was just looking at them for myself this morning as I’m so jealous of the kids’ ones when we go swimming! It just might not be very long??

What about one of these ?

Click on the colour and it shows you what they look like on as the image on its own makes it look tiny but they aren’t!

*but probably not shorter than eg the dry robe above - my child’s jumbo one reaches under the knees for me and I’m nearly 6ft

There's loads about! Google 'changing towel'.

Mostly found on surf websites. Dryrobes are the best, but there are normal towelling ones around too.

A choice of 45 at Surf Dome

If you're feeling really indulgent and your son is into surfing/wild swimming/water sports in UK (cold and wet!) the Dry Robe is the one to go for - waterproof and windproof.

Might be worth looking at Dock and Bay. They do hooded towels for £30.

Sorry I should have said that he does not want a robe, ‘changing towel’ or poncho type thing, or a microfibre towel either. He wants a thick towelling towel with a hood like
you get for babies.

Thank you PiratePetespajamas I noticed that Hooded Owls seemed to be the only people who had them but they are not called adult sized, just jumbo, so I wasn’t sure. I emailed them but they did not reply. You have given me exactly the info I needed!

Thank you so
