Any other job-hunting buddies?

I thought I could start a thread for any of us who are trying to find a job ATM. Maybe not only as buddies but even give leads/tips.

I’m on the hunt too! I’m a registered nurse and I’ve applied for over ten nhs jobs in last month. I have two interviews lined up and waiting for closing dates on the others.
What type of role are you looking for?

Terribleluck · 28/09/2021 14:22

To be fair all sorts of roles from junior to senior. Because of childcare and living far away from job hubs I need to get remote jobs. I have a very broad background, but for the past year and a bit I've been an account/customer success manager but I don't know if that would be enough to get me one of those jobs. For many years I was an outsourcing manager in the content moderation field (thanks to that I also have some product/project management experience but not substantial). How is recruitment for nurses? Call me very naive but I thought the NHS is so understaffed that it's almost a guaranteed job.

There are jobs in the nhs but some are more desirable than others! I’ve had enough of shift work so would quite like a more mon - fri, 9-5 type role but these are few and far between! Plus all the students have just qualified so there are less vacancies at the moment, in my trust anyway.
Gosh I don’t understand your field at all! It sounds complicated to an outsider!!

Oh no it's not complicated! It's like slightly more specialised customer service. The other bits are I guess slightly more complex but nothing out of this world.
