If so, are people generally wearing masks or not?

Discussing whether or not to go and see the James Bond film and whether we’d need to wear masks or not. Cinema website sassy not mandatory but advised.
I don’t mind wearing one but dh refuses to do so.

I'm in Scotland where masks is still a
General requirement but I've been to the cinema multiple times and no one wears one. People are pretty much drinking and eating their snacks so they won't be wearing masks

I’ve went loads over the summer and wore my mask until I was seated. Not sure if everyone else was as I didn’t really check but I did it purely just to be safe and for my own peace of mind. However, it wouldn’t bother me if others didn’t.

I went last month and no one wore masks

I went last weekend and wore a mask. Paid extra for the armchair seats so lots of space between rows and cinema was about a quarter full. Didn't notice percentage of mask wearers tbh but fewer and fewer wearing them in town these days. It was very very busy on the High Street.

Go most weekends. Hardly anyone is wearing them in the concession queues or outside the screens, but over half while watching the films.

That's the o2 cinema so most people get there by public transport, so likely to have a mask on them.

Went to a Vue last week.
No one was wearing masks and the cinema was completely full. I was elbow to elbow with another person and so was my DD on the other side. Could feel the breath on my neck from a racious man behind me. I stupidly thought they'd leave in-between rows empty.

Thanks everyone this has been helpful.

I went to the theatre last night (in the same town as the cinema) which gave me an insight into what the norms are. High percentage of people wore masks in the foyer and corridors, but most took them off to watch the show. I’m guessing it would be the same for the cinema.

My issue wasn’t so much about risks as about social norms. I didn’t want dh to not wear a mask and be the only one without or get comments. Doesn't seem like he would be.
