Would you do this ADHD diagnostic quiz and share your answer?

I've done this quiz which is meant to provide an estimate of whether you might have ADHD. It shouldn't be used for diagnosis, there are lot of caveats for it.

But I am thinking "but surely everyone does that" about a lot of the questions. I'd be really interested to get a range of answers from a range of people, if anyone is willing to share.

For what it's worth, I've done it twice on different days, scored 76 and 62. Their threshold for "possible ADHD" is 70+. I don't really believe anyone can score less than 50 and I'd be fascinated to know if I'm wrong.

I got 109 🥴

CornedBeef451 · 28/09/2021 20:31

I got 24. I'm high on the daydreaming but I don't fidget and because of the daydreaming my mind is generally a calm and happy place, just not always focused on real life.

So I don't have ADHD but I use maladaptive daydreaming to sooth myself, not particularly healthy.

I scored 20 and I’m not surprised, have never thought I have ADHD

  1. Been told I may have ADHD. Age 47.

My DC have ADHD and ASD

surreygirl1987 · 28/09/2021 20:45

48, and have an ADHD diagnosis. I find it very difficult to answer these kind of questions, because I only know my own inner experience — how can I know whether my mind is unusually noisy or unusually quiet, when I've never been anyone else? Though perhaps that's the ASD speaking… Grin

I got 87. Have been wondering for a while about looking for a diagnosis, but it just adds to the constant chatter in my head.

Should add that I've never really suspected I have ADHD, but two of my siblings have it, so I suppose it was something I wondered about.
Crackletranton · 28/09/2021 20:59

33, but in reality lower because:

The reason I can't focus in a group conversation is because I am hearing impaired
and
The reason my head is busy is OCD

PoppityPop · 28/09/2021 20:59

I got 21

BeggarsMeddle · 28/09/2021 21:01

78 for me. I have diagnosed ADHD-PI (I answered as myself when unmedicated).

I feel like that quiz is very skewed toward hyperactivity, though - if you want the actual assessment form they'll use to decide whether you warrant assessment, look up the ASRS or DIVA forms.

scarpa · 28/09/2021 21:20

@MrsTerryPratchett

Thanks so much for all the scores, it gives me a much better perspective, clearly I'm underestimating how much we all vary!

Having DH work from home has been an education. Head down, concentrating, ignoring distractions. Like a ROBOT, my DH.

Incredible, isn't it?

The amount of times I'll watch my business partner go "Ugh, I need to do this boring tax thing that'll take 4 hours and is dull as fuck" and then he just...does it???

It would take a fair wind, my full dose of medication, and absolute silence/the perfect podcast to do the same. Stupid brain.

Appleseesaw · 28/09/2021 21:28

I got 79. I‘ve long suspected I may be a bit neurodiverse.
