Keeping New Oven Clean

Just got a new oven, which I am determined to keep cleaner than the one it replaced! Does anyone put something at the bottom of the oven to catch any drips, which could be thrown out after a few uses? I was thinking of using tin foil, but the instruction booklet specifically says not to do that.

Something like this would be OK I think.

You can get liners, they're made of some kind of heatproof material. You don't even need to throw them out, I just take mine out and clean it every so often.

I have one of the non stick oven liners, it wipes clean fairly easily

Does your oven door come off? I was talked into one which does, and it is a game changer. Once a month I take the door off, and do a bicarb/rocksalt scrub (including racks), wipe out, then spray with vinegar and wipe out again.

Still looks new almost a year later, and no smoking/fumes when on at a high temperature.

Thanks you, everyone! The Lakeland link posted by Shmithecat2 is exactly what I want!!

I have no idea if the oven door comes off YellowMonday. I am still only half way through the instruction booklet and already a little confused!
