Has anyone been to Phantasia Land near Koln? Where did you stay?

There's a youth hostel but its right across the city - quite a treck (about an hour). There are 5 of us and the kids are teens and a pre teen so we do usually go for youth hostels - fans of rooms with 5 or 6 beds and usually plenty of space and a games room, and outdoor space for the younger two to use. Eldest is perfectly happy to share with the whole family in a big room but less enthusiastic about having to share with her (no longer little) little brothers... However it would be nice to be nearer the park for not too much more than youth hostel money (100€ per night for 5 of us is only 20€ per person per night so hard to beat, but we can go up a bit...)

Any suggestions?

Thank you browneyesblue - we're looking forward to it. We are hoping it's just right for our pre to mid teens but DH is actually the most excited . We've enjoyed Europapark twice.

I've done trip advisor and booking.com research and I think we're not going to find anything closer to the park which comes as close to meeting our needs as the youth hostel - there's a reason we always end up in youth hostels I guess The only down side is that it's a bit far away.
