Passport renewal

Anyone done one recently and how long did it take? Thanks

Online renewal is quite quick, ours took about 2 weeks. I did my brothers which had run out, and it’s been about 6 weeks, although it’s been sent and is on its way.

They realise the average time it is taking each week on the gov.uk website, currently around five weeks

I used the post office service,(they complete all the forms, approve docs, take photo etc), got new passport in 10days

4 weeks in August.

My husband did his online a few weeks ago and had his passport back within the week.

I did mine this month. Took 2.5 weeks.

I've just done two child to adult renewals. The timeline was:
Application submitted 2 September
Documents (old passport) received 7 September
Application Approved 25 September
Passport printed and sent 27 September.

So not too bad at all

I used post office for renewal, took 11 days including August bank holiday.

To add, I applied online and I got the photos done at Max Spielmann, they check the photos will be approved before you submit them (we have a problem with Ds1 being too pale for most photos!)

Renewals taking 21 days according to this.

I’m currently waiting for my DS passport, I applied on 8 Sept, got a notification old passport lreceived on 14 Sept and still waiting for another update.

Applied for DS's online on 31st August, got email today that it is on the way - so just about 4 weeks

Stupid question if you do it on line how do you get your photos signed?

You don't need signatures, just upload a new photo

Online with own photo taken on phone and it took 10 days

Mine was delivered today, applied online, 3 weeks. Online photo was rejected so I had to redo it quickly.
