Hydrogenated oils/ Rapeseed oil, etc..

Not sure where to put this one, so apologies if a bit random!

Been reading recently about hydrogenated oils in our food and associated issues (trans fats, etc).
It would seem rapeseed oil, in particular, is in almost everything that isn't raw, from a tortilla wrap to (what ought to be) full fat mayo.
Alternatives are few and far between, even if opting for organic. For instance, in my Tesco, Booths, Sainsbury's and so on a decent organic loaf still contains rapeseed oil, with only very random non organic items using EVOO instead.

Most of these foods don't list the percentage it contains either, so I would love to know people's thoughts on this as I am no expert!

How much of this stuff is 'bad' for us, and is it best to try to avoid it? I don't consume much of it anyway, but I occasionally like a bit of toast and am not in the market for baking my own bread!

Oils are good for us. Unfortunately if you buy processed food with a shelf life the oil will have been hydrogenated. Not much you can do about that. Making more of your own and using cold pressed will provide health benefits.

Rapeseed oil is fine.

The label will say if whatever oil used is hydrogenated.
