Food poisoning dice roll

I had a chicken fillet burger for dinner this evening and followed all cooking instructions. Was eating it in dim light and thought it felt a bit too... juicy.

Big light turned on. Burger raw inside. I reckon I swallowed about 3 decent sized raw bites. Envy

I'm working all day tomorrow (teacher). What are my chances of getting off with a lucky escape?

Anything I can do / eat / drink to minimise impact? My tummy already feels burbly but suspect it's hypochondria and/or over awareness!

Oh dear. I hope you make it home without further incident.

I would say pretty close to 100%

You might need to reconsider your response when you've read OPs update...things aren't looking too good at the mo.

I'm ok! I'm at home, in the bath, few more bouts of diarrhoea (though not in the bath, I hasten to add).

I'm hopeful my stomach was just overreacting to a pumpkin spice latte and being in an overheated space and that now I'm home, it will all be ok. I certainly haven't thrown up (yet!).

I do quite often faint / feel faint with an IBS attack, particularly if I'm in a situation where I can't get to a toilet quickly and the pain intensifies.

So hopefully that's all it is.

But will keep you posted, campylobacter watchers!

Oh noooo! See how it goes, I'd say if you feel otherwise well and it's JUST the shits - you don't feel rough or queasy and you sleep OK without being disturbed by your innards - then it was probably an IBS attack.

I ate far more tiramisu than is good for a person yesterday and spent some time in the bathroom today as a result, I have IBS too. Keeping everything crossed, don't shit the bed...

@OneMorePieceofCheese
How are you now? Only some one else has a similar issue on this thread.
I wonder if you both bought the same burgers?

Mine were from Aldi... they were monster sized so retrospectively should have been in the oven much longer!

I'm fine now thank you. Feel like I dodged a bullet!

@akandjakh

"Chicken is crammed full of antibiotics these days isn't it?"

No of course it isn't 🤦‍♀️🙄

Raw chicken practically cures salmonella itself
