Good iPhone cases in case I drop it......

My old iPhone has died on me so I’ve ordered an iPhone 13 pro, but I’m worried I’ll drop it/damage it. Can anyone recommend really good cases that might save the phone if I have an accident? I do not mind paying £££ if it really will make a difference. I’ve looked at Amazon but they all seem about the same.

I bought a Ringke Fushion phone case off Amazon last year for my iPhone 11 (They do it for the 13 too) last year. Absolutely brilliant, and I've dropped my phone numerous times. Not a single crack. It's quite a thick sturdy case

Has to be Otter Box if you want protection. Some of them can be chunky though which I always few defeats the point of Apple trying to slice every last mm off!

Tech21 always.

I threw my ex iphone off the balcony onto a marble floor from height with considerable force after a errrrrr slight disagreement.

Not a scratch.

I have just bought an otterbox case from apple for my new iPhone - it's not too bulky and seems pretty sturdy. I remember being reluctant to spend lots on a case but then a salesperson pointed out that I was spending a fortune on the phone so why would t I spend £50 to protect it properly.

Mines in an Otterbox and I have a screen protector too. I've dropped it so many times but no damage whatsoever.

EduCated · 26/09/2021 18:33

Another recommendation for Otterbox!

eurochick · 26/09/2021 18:36

Another vote for otterbox.

historyrocks · 26/09/2021 22:20

Thank you! I will definitely have a look at otterbox

Mous are brilliant

Otterbox here as well, with a gorilla glass screen protector. Between me, DH and teen DS we have never broken a phone using this combination.

DH and I have new iPhone 13's on order so I should probably be careful what I say Grin

Mindgone · 27/09/2021 01:00

Tech21, very happy, dropped several times with no damage 😊

I've tried them all including expensive otter boxes. So far the best has been cheap leather wallet style folding cases from Amazon! I drop mine regularly, at least a couple of times a week MINIMUM.

The glass back of my 4S smashed in my otter box from just a short drop onto laminate. My daughter managed to smash the front in one too on a pavement.
Now we all have folding leather wallet ones and there's not been an iPhone repair needed in years. That's a 9yo with a 5S, 11yo with a 6S, 14yo with an 8, DH with a 7 and me with an 11.

Yesterday I went to throw my iPhone 13 to my daughter to charge it. I lobbed it high so she could catch it from the settee on the other side of the room. It slipped as I threw. Instead of going 6ft high and sailing through the air to DD, it went 6ft up and slammed straight down onto my laminate flooring.

Not a hint of damage.

I always buy leather wallet style cases from Amazon and never go without a glass screen protector.
They're amazing. DD(12) had an iPhone in an otter box once. I remember fiddling around opening it up to shake the bits of glass out cos the phone wasn't protected enough to stop it smashing.
All family have leather wallet cases now and DH's 13, DD's (15&12) 11 and 8 and DS(10)'s 8 are all intact after years of use.

Grr. Just realised I replied to a zombie bumped by a bloody sales spammer.

teaandtoastwithmarmite · 17/11/2022 18:05

I dropped my old phone loads of times. This time I got a case from skinny dip and a screen protector

GiantKitten · 17/11/2022 18:09

I have this one - much cheaper than some, i
think? I’ve dropped it a few times without any damage (so far touch wood).
The case comes with a couple of screensavers.
It’s annoyingly rubbery though. Makes it quite hard to slip into a pocket!

Damn!
Those suggested threads, without showing dates, are such a stupid idea!

Work issue our iPhones with transparent Tech21 cases and a screen protector.
