What are you jealous of? (Lighthearted)

I've just spent 4 hours + mowing my lawns and one of them is on an incline. As I hadn't done it for 6 weeks or so it was long and it's taken me ages to get it short today. I know it's my own fault btw

Anyway, while I was red faced, sweaty and pushing my mower through the long grass on sodding said incline, neighbour comes and mows his well manicured garden on his ride on mower. I am v v v jealous! I want a ride on mower!! Can't afford

What are you jealous of?

At the moment people who can taste food and people who don't feel sick/vomit and dizzy half the day. 😆 Last week it was people who could breathe through their nose or even their mouth.

louderthan · 26/09/2021 22:42

My friend who has just bought a horse 😟

Silkiescatz · 26/09/2021 22:43

And people with enormous Maine Coon cats, I need one on the bed with me.

Tiramiwho · 26/09/2021 22:43

Everyone who manages to naturally have long, thick and gorgeous hair down their backs ( starting on their scalps before anyone quips ☺️ )
I drive past them all every day. Usually school girls- but women of all ages too- gorgeous, luscious long hair. Colour doesn't matter abit ( but Auburn is divine ) Something I have never been able to achieve😢

RubyFowler · 26/09/2021 22:44

People with lots of friends

Balonziaga · 26/09/2021 22:46

People who are effortlessly slim
People who have a talent that they are 'expert' at - whether it's a sport/art/skill/hobby
But mostly, people with big, affectionate families. Just knowing there are always people rooting for you...

Klinkerbell · 26/09/2021 22:47

People who go to bed and go to SLEEP. I lay awake for hours every night, and after I finally fall asleep, I have wake ups and then take at least another hour+ to fall asleep againSad

Cheeseycheeseycheesecheese · 26/09/2021 22:47

Today I'm jealous of next doors artificial grass, I too had long grass to cut.

Always jealous of people who can keep house plants alive, I can keep a dog, a man, a toddler and myself alive, but plants? Not a chance!!!

@WormYourHonour

Women that can glide along in beautiful heeled shoes and look amazing... I have as much grace and poise as a rhino stood only on their back legs. I look pretty ridiculous in dainty beautiful shoes.
This ^^ I dread to think how much I've wasted over the years on high heeled shoes I can't walk in cos they either kill my feet or I can't balance on them. Chunky heels I can just about cope with but even then I'll probably end up on the floor at some point. I can't even walk in wedges anymore although I could do when I was younger. It always makes me laugh watching casualty when Connie is tottering around the A&E in stilettos Grin

People who can drive. I can't. I've spent thousands of pounds in lessons but I still panic.

I'm going to never drive.

HopingForOurRainbowBaby · 26/09/2021 22:59

@CapitanSandy

People who don’t have to work evenings/ weekends. People whose hair looks nice dried naturally😂
Yes to both of these!! I work every evening and every other weekend. My hair when it's wet goes curly, looks great until it's dried naturally and then whoosh it just puffs out ridiculously. If I dry it and straighten it, it's fine but a few hours later the ends start to curl outwards and I end up looking like woman off Balamory
GroggyLegs · 26/09/2021 23:00

Good hair.
My friends 4yo has the thick, blonde, shiny hair I should have had and I'm very, very jealous daily.

Cheap tip if you're interested...
Put blob of gel in your palm then bigger blob of mousse (I just use the cheapy garnier brands, but strong hold). I bend over with wet hair after shower and fingercomb and scrunch the mixture throughout my hair. Let dry naturally (do not brush), no more frizz. After 20+ years of frizzy hair, I found it nice to finally have decent curls with no frizz and very little work. I get compliments all the time (I've had people think I've curled each curlGrin) and thought if only they knew my natural hair is a mess!

Susannahmoody · 27/09/2021 01:01

Babyghirl · 27/09/2021 01:28

I'm jealous of a pregnant woman and women with new borns 4 miscarriages and 1 cp and still no closer to achieving it 🙈🙈🙈🙈🙈🙈🙈🙈.

SammyScrounge · 27/09/2021 01:39

Helena Bonham Carter's looks.

Puffalicious · 27/09/2021 01:44

People who seem to have fabulous social lives. I have 3DC, work and just about manage to flop on the sofa most days. Gone are the days with theatre/ cinema/ meals out/ clubbing/ the gym every week.

Mind you, most of the ones I'm referring to also have DC. Perhaps they have lots of family help (grrr) or didn't decide to have a 3rd DC at 40 so their kids are old enough to be left!

See also people who seem to have unlimited cash for weekends away/ spas/ concerts/ festivals Confused

My colleague who has absolutely gorgeous handwriting and can write it at lightning speed.

My handwriting couldn't be any worse if I gripped the pen with my butt cheeks.

Porridgealert · 27/09/2021 01:52

That people have organised, well-maintained homes and have no problem having people just drop in (without giving two weeks notice).

Silkiescatz · 27/09/2021 01:56

Hope you get your baby one day Babyghirl We were 3 years and IVF and its hard though the second pregnancy was then 4 months after the first.

VenusClapTrap · 27/09/2021 02:48

People who can sleep all night and not wake up at 2am then lie awake and bored and hot for the next three or four hours. Oof.

HerRoyalNotness · 27/09/2021 03:21

People who have jobs
People who don’t have a cat that wakes them up at 4am to go out on the prowl
People, my friend, who can take a 20min catnap and be refreshed. If I take a nap I don’t wake up for a couple of hours and still feel like shit
People who are confident socially

HerRoyalNotness · 27/09/2021 03:22

People that have a lovely relationship with their mum
