Body butter as good as the body shop but not the body shop?

I don't want to give them my money but I LOVE their body butters. Anywhere else so similar in terms of thickness and scent that isn't the body shop?
TIA

Soap and glory body butters are nice, not quite as rich as some of the bodyshop offerings but definitely worth a try.

Rituals.

Thanks, but they are too runny for me :(

I can't use Body Shop products which is a shame because I used to love them. But second vote for Soap and Glory.

doadeer · 26/09/2021 16:13

Rituals is a lovely shop

Vitamin E body cream by Superdrug. Amazing stuff and very cheap.

ufucoffee · 26/09/2021 16:14

I agree with you OP. I've been looking for a replacement for Body Shop Body Butters too because I don't want to buy from Body Shop. Watching this thread with interest.

I like the champneys one from boots. It smells so indulgent!

DOINGOURBIT · 26/09/2021 16:15

Absolutely Superdrug Vitamin E range. Superb stuff and cheap.

SugarMiceInTheRain · 26/09/2021 16:15

I had a lovely Sanctuary one a while ago. Not sure if they still make it, but worth a look.

PaperhouseLegs · 26/09/2021 16:21

The Cantu raw body butters are good and can be used on skin and hair. They have very few ingredients and are 100% natural

lifeinlimbo2020 · 26/09/2021 16:21

This is lovely and smells great. I've got it before from TK Maxx. Just noticed TK Maxx sell Body Shop stuff now too

Very similar consistency to the Body Shop ones too. ☝🏼

Geamhradh · 26/09/2021 16:26

Nothing sadly has the same perfect "butter" texture. I've tried loads but almost all are "creams" and take hours to absorb.
I've just chucked a load away because I don't have time or inclination to stand rubbing at myself for ages. The BS are perfect for that. Two of the tubs I chucked were Superdrug Vit E. Love the skincare range, but the body butter is a gloppy cream.

I was a body shop body butter fab for years then my friend got me a Bath & Bodyworks gift set one Christmas. The body cream is amazing, lovely & thick but a tube (only downside is it's a tube not a tub) lasts a long time. They are American but plenty of places online you can find them & recently they've been stocked on Next.

CamdenLurker · 26/09/2021 16:30

I love the Superdrug Vit E intensive, I find it absorbs really quickly. Smells great too.

CloseYourEyesAndSee · 26/09/2021 16:43

Thanks all.
I have tried some of the ones suggested - sanctuary and Superdrug included and like PP they are too runny. They are fine but not a body butter :(
I'll try some of the other suggestions, thank you

Weleda skin food body butter has that buttery consistency. Like you could spread it with a knife and it would melt into your skin like you're hot toast Grin

CloseYourEyesAndSee · 26/09/2021 19:41

Thank you! I'll try some.

Is this really only 89p???

That’s amazing value if it is really ‘buttery’.
