Soda stream type

I'm missing my fizzy water. I love it.

Lots of people have suggested a soda stream but my husband thinks they're ugly and our kitchen is small and in an open plan space.

What does everyone recommend? I've seen aarke and it looks lovely but has mixed reviews.

The thing is, fizzy sodastream water is still just your tap water with bubbles. We got rid as our tap water does not taste good.

I’ve just today opened my new aarke 3 to replace a soda stream (eBay incoming) and I bloody love it - it’s so stylish and even the bottle is great

I have seen this but don't have one. It's certainly less ugly than a soda stream

Ozanj · 25/09/2021 22:02

Quooker do one but with a filter

We have a soda stream and it’s great. We didn’t buy it because of how it looks, so not really bothered, but works well and the canisters are easy to exchange. The most PITA thing about these things is exchanging the canisters so that would be the main reason I made the decision I did. We have a local ish shop that exchanges them at the till. I couldn’t be bothered to send them off somewhere.

Aarke uses the same canisters as soda stream , incidentally the range is only £10 for an exchange - I have two bottles so always have a spare ready to go

This is my soda stream - it's the more expensive model but looks just great on my worktop between coffee machine and shiny kettle. Plus really nice glass bottles.

I use it every day.

And you can change canisters at The Range

Apparently there's a CO2 shortage coming, stock up! I love my Sodastream

I joined a company who deliver 4 bottles at a time (£40) and came back to collect/replace them when you are ready. So much easier.

70sduvet · 25/09/2021 23:11

@SlidDownTheElephantsTrunk what is the delivery company called please?

Davros · 26/09/2021 00:05

I need to know too. I go to Argos

SlidDownTheElephantsTrunk · 26/09/2021 10:08

It's co2you.co/pages/gas-refill-programme

I've found the canister last longer than the blue ones from amazon.
