Influx of properties?

Still signed up to Rightmove even though we moved over 5 years ago as you do,

Is it just me or has there been a big influx of properties within the few last weeks? It used to be a couple new ones each week for the past year and suddenly it’s about twenty.
Can’t be to do with stamp duty so is it Estate agents playing games? People putting things on the market now the summer hols are over? Just wondering really!!!

I suppose it depends where you are. A friend is looking in Stratford-on-Avon and not much is coming up.

There’s probably quite a bit of pent up movement because people haven’t wanted to move so it could be that and probably depends on where, type of property, etc.

I’ve heard that there is big money being moved about. Don’t know how true it is not having “big money” (or even small money) myself. It seems like some of the people who were invested in commercial property are moving over to residential properties given that working from home is now a thing. Seems reasonable. There are odd bits of land and houses near us owned by people all over the world so I suppose anything’s possible.

Shenanigans on the post viral merry go round for a while I suspect.

Most people are now double vaccinated and maybe feel safer now to allow strangers into their home.

I understand that there may be quite some big companies going to go bust. The last time I looked Gold wasn't doing well. Nobody seems to know what crypto will dominate. The Dollar may cese being the world reserve currency. There has been some interesting alliances recently, not just the one with the UK, USA and Australia. I wouldn't be making any big moves right now.
