We just had an epic meltdown because we snapped off half a banana to give her. She became distraught and spent a good ten minutes trying to stick the banana back together.

This morning so far in my house -

  • not being allowed to wade into the sea fully clothed
  • not wanting to eat his breakfast, but still wanting to keep his plate close to him at all times

Oh I had that this morning! But only a mild one. The big one this morning was because I wouldn't let him play with a bottle of squash.

Oh, we had the second one as well! Resulting in dropped jam on toast, a sticky patch on the carpet which I then sat in with a bare arse cheek. Off to wash the jam off my bum. You’ve got to laugh don’t you!

Ive not long got up this morning but the banana in half and the wanting breakfast bowl next to them but not eating are regulars here with my 3yr old too!! I buy Asda Garden Gang bananas now so she can eat a whole one to avoid that now, as they're small sized for kids.

My ds had a tantrum today because i wouldn’t let him eat cat food. He saw the cat eat from it and couldn’t understand why he couldn’t share. 40 minutes screaming at the baby gate at the kitchen door with nothing calming him down.
Both my cats swiftly evacuated up the stairs to escape the noise.

Not being able to plug the phone charger into my newborns head

Gemzee · 25/09/2021 09:51

His dad told him to stop sitting on (& effectively breaking) a box. My 3 year old feels he HAS to sit on the box and it IS NOT breaking. He cried/scream .. a lot! Confused

flowersatthecastle · 25/09/2021 09:52

Me wanting a blanket on my lap while we sat on the sofa at 6am... clearly a crime against toddlers?! Hmm

Camomila · 25/09/2021 10:00

He wanted to put on his too small summer sandles to go out rather than his trainers.

Covetthee · 25/09/2021 10:05

I wouldn’t let her jump onto her 5 month old sibling when she was in her bouncer Hmm

ThePotatoCroquette · 25/09/2021 10:12

Finished his water. I didn't refill it instantly so he screamed in my face.

When I did refill the water bottle he threw it at me because it wasn't squash. He hadn't asked for squash.

He broke his banana and spent twenty minutes crying on my lap because he was so sad.

He cried and tried to kick me because I wanted to change his dirty nappy.

Laid on the floor outside the bathroom door and cried because I dared lock the door while I went to the toilet.

A normal day then

ThePotatoCroquette · 25/09/2021 10:14

Also threw a tantrum because I wouldn't let him hit me or his brother with a frisbee and because I wouldn't give him a whole yellow pepper to eat like an apple.

BertieBotts · 25/09/2021 11:06

He stepped on his bread roll and it became flat.

I asked him to wash his hands.

He couldn't fit onto my lap with the baby.

I didn't start playing a board game fast enough.

I didn't get him a fourth bread roll when the third was still half eaten.

The wrong TV show was on.

We don't have any green apples. Blippi has a green apple.

Indoorcamping · 25/09/2021 11:26

DS was awake 4-7 unhappy to be awake, wouldn't lie down and try to sleep. Not sure what he thought he other option was.

Screamed because i couldn't carry him and make his toast at the same time.

Wouldn't let him play peekaboo with the living room door at 5am. BIG meltdown

Since getting up again

Because he's not allowed my coffee

Told him not to rip bits off his book

Not allowed to go in the little hallway and fiddle with the fuse box. Excuse me for not wanting you electrocuted son.

I've resorted to putting little baby bum on netflix. Hate the way it hypnotises him normally.... today I'll take it.

Letsallscreamatthesistene · 25/09/2021 11:54

.....little baby bum has also been on in this house too 😂
