How to stretch leather shoes

I have fairly average feet, but do have a small bunion on my left foot. I currently have new work shoes to break in, my shifts are 12 hours long and I'm on my feet a lot. I buy leather shoes as they last longer and eventually become comfortable.

Is there a better way to do it apart from hobbling around for a few weeks in pain? My left foot is so sore right now!

Go to your local cobblers and buy some leather stretch spray, it really works.

Leather stretch spray and i think you can still get a shoe stretcher from shoe shops or online (they come with little plastic rounded bits you pop in holes on the foot shaped stretcher in the area your foot has the bunion so you can tailor the stretching to the specific area issues of your feet, they work really well)
