Hey guys!!! Wondering if you guys could please help me. I think I am going to be moving in to a council flat but don’t have any money to buy anything, was wondering if there’s and charities or grants out there that help single parents? Any advice would be much appreciated.

Thanks guys

Ask your local Citizens Advice Bureau and search on Google.

Ask council if there is a community furniture shop. Otherwise try Freecycle or similar.

TabithaTiger · 24/09/2021 11:07

Have you tried local Facebook pages like freecycle?

Lweji · 24/09/2021 11:09

Yes to Freecycle. You can see what's on offer as well as ask for stuff.

You will likely get more useful responses if start a new thread in Potty Training rather than adding to your previous one. Also, if that is your child's real name, you may want to ask MNHQ to edit your post.

What’s the MNHQ

@Lily89

What’s the MNHQ
Mumsnet Headquarters. If you report your post, they can remove the name of your child.

It's usual to start a new thread about a different issue/question. If you start a new thread in the Potty Training topic, with a title which reflects your enquiry, you're more likely to get helpful responses.

BunnytheFriendlyDragon · 29/09/2021 07:54

Op has her own name in there too

OP it is usual to start a new thread for a new question

TriciaMcMillan · 29/09/2021 08:14

I've reported the post for you in case that is your child's (and your) real name.
