I got my son a hairy bikers book. He loves it

Kids Kitchen by Lorna Brash “fun recipes with a dash of science”.

Shows boys cooking too. Definitely not for vegans or the overly health conscious though. It’s quite traditional - sandwiches, burgers, chilli, cookies, cakes… though it does have sushi in it.

There are quite a few of these cookbooks with added science bits so your local library might have something similar.

I started teaching my son his favourite meals and then he wrote the recipes in a book for himself.
His first recipe was jacket potatoes which was a hilarious read!!

🤣

In fairness I’ve been up all night with a sick dog and my brain is a bit fried.
Background info, my son bought me this book a couple of years ago (we share a juvenile sense of humour).

Cool Kids Cook, by Jenny Chandler.
Shows you how you can adjust recipies to get different end points - so teaches you how to make porridge, then has suggestions for chocolate, fruit, honey versions etc.

@KatyN that’s so lovely! Grin
