Lisbon restaurant recommendations please

Flying to Lisbon tomorrow afternoon with two friends, sans kids. Booked spontaneously only last week so all a bit chaotic and last minute with nothing booked or organised except for accommodation!

We land at 8ish so plan to head to the Time Out food market tomorrow eve. We’ll eat there if it’s buzzy but if not, we’ll mosey and find somewhere in the area that is.

We’d really like to book a lovely restaurant for Saturday night though, so please hit me with any recommendations. Budget isn’t too much of an issue as we’ll be celebrating a special birthday so happy to push the boat out. Conscious we’ve probably left it too late to get a table anywhere really renowned, but any recommendations would be very helpful.

We’re staying near Campo Pequeno, but happy to go anywhere, if that helps.

Thanks in advance Flowers

A place called cafe royale. Could not tell you where it is and we had lunch rather than dinner (outside in small courtyard) but it was lovely

When my family visited Lisbon (2 weeks in August 2018), most mornings I woke up before my DH and DC. I took the bus to and from Pastéis de Belém just so I could spend the day eating custard tarts Grin

Doca de Santo Amaro had lovely seafood places when I was last there (work trip pre Covid), nice setting on the waterfront
5 Oceanos was good

Something like "hot jazz club"

You must go have a cocktail at the bar that is in an old brothel, it's such a cool weird place.

Amazing, thank you all. Keep them coming!

If you want somewhere traditional with good wine, Winebar Do Castelo is lovely, right near the entrance to the castle.

The Time Out Market is great .

I've been to Lisbon twice and never had a bad meal.
Love the time out market. Tried everything and was rather piggy.
There are great restaurants on every street for almost every budget.

I went with two friends in august 2019 and we loved Lisbon, so jealous! We loved the Time Out market, great atmosphere. Went to a great club that played 80s music called Plateau.

No recommendations per se but if you're on Instagram or Facebook try following Jo Wheatley (she won Bake off possibly the first ever one I think). Anyway she moved to just outside Lisbon about a year ago. Her account is full of recommendations. Her Instagram is jowheatleylifestyle

If you like seafood I went to the most amazing restaurant.. Cervejaria Ramiro. I still dream of the 🦞.

Seen is amazing for cocktails, and the food was good too, although more International than Portuguese.
Jncquoi Asia was also great for cocktails (only had a snack there)m which was also nice).
Alcantara 50 was one of the best meals we had and the couple that owned it were lovely.
Memmo Principe Real is great for sunset drinks with a relaxed vibe.
Ponto Final Restaurant is supposed to be great but we didn’t make it.

Dear Breakfast is great for brunch - they have a few spots including outdoors.

I’m very jealous! Have a great time!

If you like fish and seafood Solar 31 da Calcada is excellent. I still think about the crab I had there!

Thank you so so much everyone, will get phoning around to see where might have a table free. Love the sound of the seafood options especially Flowers
