I’m 26 weeks pregnant. I’ve had itching for about a month. No rash. Most intense and frequent on palms and soles of feet, though often also on arms, legs, chest and head. Worse at night. No diagnosed ICP in two previous pregnancies or family history of it, though I possibly have some minor liver damage.
I had a blood test 4 weeks ago and my bile acid was 8mg, so no ICP diagnosis. I asked for another one this week, as the itching has got worse. Waiting for the results.
Assuming my levels are still normal, does anyone know what else could cause this? I know hormones can cause general itching, but do they cause it on mostly palms and feet, worse at night, with no rash? I can’t get an answer. Midwife says my symptoms are ICP but if bile acids are okay, I don’t have it, which is frustrating and confusing. Any help or advice would be great. Thanks
