Private health screening

Has anyone used a health screening service such as medichecks? I’ve been feeling generally rubbish for a while, but sick of GP’s fobbing everything off as a virus etc and being made to feel like I’m wasting their time. I’m thinking about getting a private blood test done, but I’d rather have the choice about whether the results are shared with my GP. Do services such as this automatically send information to NHS services for records?

Not sure about medichecks but I have used competitors before and they have GPs who do the consultation (this is done after you have the test and its basically just a few lines written about any abnormal results if any), they never sent my information or results to anyone.

I think its great you're doing it. NHS doesn't have capacity for and doesn't care about any type of preventative care and even diagnostics they are pretty weak at and don't like ordering tests. I think if you have the financial means going private for these things is a great option.
