What is a Hot Assesment Room?

I think hot is the Covid area and cold is non Covid.

Yes I think that's right, picked my MIL up from hospital today and the lift had a sign saying COLD PATIENTS ONLY. Felt a bit confused but went in it anyway

Yes, hot is covid, cold is non covid. Although weirdly, covid areas are also blue and non covid green. I can't cope with blue areas being hot.....

Oh bugger. I'm sat right outside it! No wonder nobody else is here! Have to wait 4-5hr waiting time for dc to be seen.

I'm assuming it's for the assessments of patients that 'could' be covid positive. As in they have coughs, temps etc..?
