Will the free Waitrose coffee ever come back?

Because I miss it. The machine in our local store has had the "out of order for maintenance" sign on it since March 2020.

And yeah, I know, first world problems and all that.

I always got the coffee on the way out, after shopping. I thought you weren't allowed one until after you'd bought something anyway.

Grab a packet of mints or whatever , pay , show your waitrose card , coffee then shop properly

The machines are fully cleaned every day and all liquid containing pipes are self cleaned 10 times a day. I guarantee you those coffee machines are cleaner than any fancy ones you might have at home. You were getting the shits elsewhere!!

Whoever told you the machines aren’t cleaned regularly doesn’t know what they’re talking about.
They are cleaned daily.

i honestly don't think it is, i often decide to go for an economy drive bit am shocked at how little difference it makes.

Sign in our local Waitrose stating that drinks are coming back 7th November - I may visit more often now (& get my drink on the way out).

I hope not.
It was a PITA at the height of the free coffee days - people wondering around with hot coffee/customer services overstretched dealing with various coffee related issues...no thanks. I just want to get in, do my shopping, pay and leave.
