Credit card fraud ...advice please?

I've just got a credit card (40 and never before had one )
Thought it would be handy.
Card arrived this morning and I activated it online.
It's only got a small £1,200 limit on it
Now Saturday I'm planning on using it online for concert tickets for £160 and then to book at hotel in November £158

Do I need to tell the credit card company on advance so they know I'm the one making these transactions?

I'm worried incase they think it's credit card fraud with it being a hotel in a different city and also a online purchase

no need to tell in advance unless you want to travel abroad to certain countries (check t&c)
keep an eye on the monthly statement.

No you don't need to notify them about any purchases you will make

No, just go for it and spend.
They do get twitchy occasionally when you book flights from "weird" countries when your address bills to the UK.
Mine also freaks out every year when I sit and do christmas present online shopping. Starts declining things after 12 transactions in 24 hours.....
But normal, everyday shopping, trains, holidays, new washing machines etc should all be fine.

I never tell my card company that I'm travelling and it's never been a problem. I've probably used it in up to 4 separate countries within 2 days before (short business trips using different indirect flights).

Worst case scenario is that they text you and ask if the transaction is you and you say yes, but that's only happened to me maybe every 2 or 3 years despite spending about £20k pa on my card (used for all spending, some of it expenses that are reclaimed and paid off in full every month).

Just set up a direct debit to take the full balance each month and use it as you see fit. No more thought needed.
