Does anyone use vinted? I'm annoyed at this seller.

I've only bought a couple of things off there so maybe I'm being unreasonable but I bought a dress last week, clearly advertised as a size 10. It's arrived and is very obviously a size 16. I've contacted the seller, no apology just told me to return it. I have to cover the cost of postage. The vinted returns policy says buyer to cover the cost unless the seller agrees otherwise. I think given that it was her mistake she should cover it. All rather petty I know but quite frustrating.

That's really annoying. Is there a way to contact vinted yourself?

I think the terms and conditions are on the sellers side tbh.

Ive had that problem before. I bought a size 10 pair of dungarees and they were a size 8. Ive stopped using it because people are far to unreliable.

I've had this recently with a pair of boots that was advertised as a 7 they wernt they were a 6.5! Seller was quite rude and I had to pay to post them back couldn't see another way round it

Thanks for the replies. I think if she'd apologised I wouldn't be feeling quite so put out by it plus she's taking 6+ hours to reply to each bloody message so the progress is very slow. I might just keep it and try and resell it. Sorry to hear this is a common problem!

Leave a bad review so others know

I’m not sure what the so-called “buyer protection fee” is for as it seems disputes have to be resolved with seller.

I had a jumper which was advertised as being a certain, desirable, brand. When it arrived it was not that brand but a cheaper one.
I’d only paid £3 so I just wrote it off, but annoying people get away with it!

Bowtie292 · 22/09/2021 20:07

I've told the seller I'll give the dress to charity and I've left them a bad (although honest) review. It's just not worth the faff of me finding a printer to print the label, taking it to town and paying for postage.

Well I left feedback just stating that the item wasn't as described, seller refused to cover cost of return postage and communication was slow. All true. She's left me feedback saying I was very rude and stubborn! I genuinely wasn't rude at all, in fact I was very polite about the whole thing and if I was stubborn about not wanting to pay for postage then she was equally as stubborn for refusing to cover the cost after her own mistake!

Sorry that happened. I admit I don’t leave bad feedback in case of retaliation I just don’t leave feedback

I’ve completed over 100 transactions on Vinted (both buying & selling) and only had one bad experience and have generally been pleased. Im very picky though and like to see photos of things like size label . I often ask sellers for more photos and genuine sellers are happy to oblige
