I bought a fab bikini with a 34D cup, we got home from holidays on Saturday and yesterday whilst I was in zombie mode part of the strap got caught in the door, my bikini is now in two pieces.

Matalan now, not unreasonably have limited stock, and don't have a 34d, or lots of other sizes besides, they only have a 36B, I am on a hiding to nothing hoping it will fit am I not ?

Please advise oh bra wizards.

TIA

You might get away with a 36C but not a 36B. Also definitely get your size checked somewhere properly.

Very doubtful if it will fit. Swimwear fabric is often stretchier than “real bras” though, so you might be lucky.

Thank you all, 34D is definitely my size, according to my local lingerie shop, looks like I need to get a needle and thread out and stop hoping and start praying. Grin

Which bikini was it? You can sometimes find new ones on eBay!

VitalsStable · 21/09/2021 08:58

Fantasie bikinis are brilliant and you can get them shipped next day from their website

If you could replace the entire strap (and therefore might need to replace the other one too), that might work better than a repair due to the stretchy fabric and visibility.

Replacement could work if you can get replacement straps in a complimentary plain colour, e.g. Black & white patterned material could work with plain black or white straps.

Replacement strap packs are sometimes available ftom retailers as some swimwear has removable straps so it can be converted to halterneck style or strapless. If not, you might be able to buy cheap swimwear from charity shop/ebay & take the straps.

Crisis averted, a fab MNer has pm'd me, she is really nifty with a needle and is going to repair it, to quote her that is a doddle.

So it is in a padded envelope and ready to go today.

Huzzah for MN.
