We've had plague, brexit, wildfires, hurricanes and now there is a volcano erupting in the Canary Islands. It's the one where they do the doommongering documentaries that the next eruption will cause a tsunami that will wipe out most of the USA east coast. (threat has been downgraded according to Wiki). And volcanoes affect the weather in not good ways, just as we are looking at food shortages.

Please can we catch a break.

Nah, giant asteroid.. and Bruce Willis is too old to save us this time.

I feel like an asteroid would be a welcome relief at this point! At least it’ll get it over with quickly.

And all of them vastly over exaggerated by the media causing people to be fearful and obey pathetic ‘rules’ without thinking for themselves and believing everything their tv tells them to.

There's been a volcano erupting in Iceland since March.... It's amazing, highly recommend watching the videos about it - This guy has some phenomenal footage:

Wild animals /flies ? - invasion of flies this summer
Pestilence of livestock ? That bloody llama
Boils? - check out sporners corner
Thunderstorms of hail and fire? - Need I say more
Locus? - ate all the crops in Africa
Darkness for 3 days? - my internet went down .

Think a lot of these have happened in the past couple of years.

You'd want to be right underneath it though, right? Same with a nuclear bomb. If you're other side of the world you have to put up with the nuclear winter where crops don't grow and you slowly starve or get captured and eaten by tribes of canibals. Or the radiation gets you and that wouldn't be quick or painless.

I'm in favour of a hostile alien invasion . We might get lucky and they land and say "right then, dickheads, we're going to sort your problems out and you're going to behave" but it's more likely they'd just quickly wipe us out and help themselves to our resources.

Technically, Godzilla is the good guy. Despite destroying half of Tokoyo on a weekly basis. Ghidorah is the one you really want to be worried about.

They test it every Thursday at 10am. It sounds like an air raid siren and always gave me a bit of a shock when I heard it as I was usually at work at 10am on a Thursday but I’m used to it now as I’ve been stuck WFH for 18 months! There’s signs up nearby to tell walkers not to worry if it goes off then but it has gone off at other times which is scary as it’s not a drill but is usually (well always I suppose 😂) for something small. I’ve no idea how long we’d have and I suppose I won’t be able to tell you if I ever find out 😂.

Haha, I see! I'd have to be prepared and have an ETS Protocol (End Times Sex Protocol) in place if I were you. If single, you could have something in a glass case in your hallway with a little hammer on a chain to break it out with in the event of the alarm going off!

You could always complain to or thank them in the event of a false alrm!

There's a wiki article that says the whole 'landslide + tsunami wiping out NYC is exaggerated' which I am willing to believe. But there may be some colder weather, dammit.

Tsunami theory for this volcano is long since debunked. Not going to happen.

Look it up on twitter or wiki if you are still stressing. Lots of pissed off volcanologists last night.
